Thomas E. Colbert, III

 

Along with his wife Missionary Dorothy Richardson Colbert, have four children and five grand children.

Elder Colbert was saved at the early age of nine years old, he later accepted his calling into the ministry in 1977, while a member of University Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Supt. Owen Smith, he was ordained as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, on March, 7, 1987, while a member of the Watson Temple COGIC, under the pastorate of Elder E.L. Sheppard (later to become Bishop Sheppard). “Uncle Thomas” as he is fondly called by all the members of WYM, is a 1974 graduate of Florida A&M University and is president and founder World Youth Ministries, Inc. a 501-C3 organization, founded in 1984. In February 1995, Pastor Colbert became founder and pastor of “Youthful Praise COGIC, Inc.” (later to become: Citadel of Praise Church of God in Christ, Inc.). Elder Colbert is a member of the Board of Directors of the C.H. Mason Bible Institute of Tallahassee Florida, and he has traveled throughout the nation speaking and evangelizing.
